Luncheon Club
A hot, two-course, simple lunch is provided for forty people in the church hall on Mondays - with the exception of Bank Holidays and school holidays. The people who attend live mainly within the parish or attend In August we had an outing to Frosts garden centre, Willington, which was very successful. In December we had a Christmas Lunch when members are joined by the clergy, all drivers, launderers and all the cooking teams, two of which provided the meal. The Heritage Foundation sponsored both these events, which enabled us to have a full Christmas dinner, with entertainment from the Reception Class at Hillshott School, and a small gift and card for everyone who attended. If you know an elderly person who would welcome this opportunity to get out and meet others over a lunch please contact Rosemary Cowie.
