Luncheon Club

A hot, two-course, simple lunch is provided for forty people in the church hall on Mondays - with the exception of Bank Holidays and school holidays. The people who attend live mainly within the parish or attend St. Paul's, the aim being to cater for the lonely, bereaved and elderly. Each week a member of the Ministry team does a short talk before the meal.

In August we had an outing to Frosts garden centre, Willington, which was very successful. In December we had a Christmas Lunch when members are joined by the clergy, all drivers, launderers and all the cooking teams, two of which provided the meal. The Heritage Foundation sponsored both these events, which enabled us to have a full Christmas dinner, with entertainment from the Reception Class at Hillshott School, and a small gift and card for everyone who attended.

If you know an elderly person who would welcome this opportunity to get out and meet others over a lunch please contact Rosemary Cowie.

Spring Harvest

Spring Harvest is an interdenominational event that happens annually over the Easter period. Over the last 10 years a group of about 40 goes to Spring Harvest at Skegness. It is a fantastic time of fellowship, teaching and worship. The children and young people have a wonderful time at their groups and having time to chill out with their friends. The adults do the same!

Mothers' Union

St. Paul’s and All Saints MU is part of a worldwide organisation and meets on the second Wednesday each month except August. During the year we have enjoyed an afternoon tea, communion services in church at Easter and Christmas, a simple lunch before our AGM in February and some interesting speakers on various topics such as Traidcraft, MU in Australia and Family in the 21st Century. We have also met with members of other branches for several services. Members make the posies for Mothering Sunday and help make the tea at Toddler Plus.

New members are always welcome contact Vicky in the office. To view the current program click here.

WoSP’s – Walkers of St Paul’s

WoSP walks – are open to anyone who is fairly fit and healthy and likes to take a walk of three miles or so around our green and pleasant land. We usually go somewhere within 20 minutes drive of St Paul’s. Most are on Sunday afternoons once a month with the occasional one on a Friday evening and sometimes a longer one on a Saturday morning. The walks provide an opportunity for us to get to know each other better outside of church.
