Toddlers Plus

Toddlers Plus is held on a Wednesday morning from 10am-11.30am. We cater for children up to school age and their carers and we have 35-40 families attending each week.

At each session we have a variety of toys out for the children to play with and also a craft for them to enjoy. There are hot drinks for the carers and a drink and biscuit (or a healthy fruit option) for the children. At the end of every session we get into a circle for singing and also one of the ministry team comes in every few weeks to tell the children a story.

At the end of every term we have held a short service in the church and also a Harvest service. We are pleased to see these well attended and are thankful for the new PA system! In the Summer Term we went to Standalone Farm and we also took part in the Barnardos Big Toddle round the paddling pool in town. The highlight of the year was again the Christmas Party where we welcomed our regular Father Christmas, and Santa’s little helper in her Fairy costume. (We have photos!) Each child received a book telling the Nativity story.
We are fortunate to have a very committed and hard working committee who put a lot of work and effort into making sure that Toddlers runs smoothly.

Babies Plus

Babies Plus is held on a Wednesday afternoon from 1.30pm-2.45pm. We cater for babies up to 18 months old and their carers and we have from 14-18 families attending on a weekly basis.

Each week we have a variety of toys out for the babies in a relaxed and calm environment. There are hot drinks for the carers and a drink and snack for the older babies. At the end of every session we get into a circle for singing which the babies love, especially clapping themselves at the end!

At the end of every term we join Toddlers Plus in the morning for their church service and we also join Toddlers for the Big Toddle and the summer trip to Standalone Farm.

Babies Plus has a small but fantastic team of helpers who are there every week to help. The mothers of the babies comment all the time how wonderful it is to go to baby group where the tea is brought to them!!
