Youth and Children

Clare Townsend is the part time Youth and Children’s worker. Clare spends her time coordinating all the youth and children's groups and supporting and encouraging the amazing members of the congregation who give of their time each week. Clare co-leads a lunchtime club at Highfield School with a Schools worker with CIS (Christian Inititive to schools) and vists the primary schools in the parish on a regular basis to undertake assembly's

The work with children and youth is at the heart of the mission of St Paul’s church. Our vision is to see children and young people come to faith in Jesus Christ and that this would make a tangible difference to they way they live. The children and young people are as important a part of the congregation as any other.

Prayer Support

The work with children and young people is covered by prayer. The home groups are each allocated a Sunday group to pray for . A prayer chain is  established to pray for the children, groups leaders and any other issues. Each Sunday the PowerPoint is also used to encourage the congregation to pray for the youth and children’s work. This vital area gives opportunities for being involved to those who don’t feel their gifting is in the “hands on”.
